Interactive Phonics Mats®

Thank you for looking at this fun interactive bundle. Students will have fun trying to guess the flow of the stories while practicing word families and basic phonetic skills. This set can be used for kindergarten and first grade. Some sounds within this set include more than 1 mat. You may see 2-3 focus mats for a single phonics sound. It is best to use the 5 mil lamination sheets for the center mats. I know personally, school lamination paper is just too thin for me, so I use the 5 mil to make them a lot stronger and they last longer. For the center mats, it takes time to put them together but you will only have to do it once and they can be used for years. I had my kids help me cut and place velcro coins. They found it fun so it was a win on both ends.

In this way, the file is already differentiated for you. Use the mats with picture help at your small group first. Use the mats with no picture help for your students who are already independent. Use the center mats for student who are just reviewing and want to have fun learning. These have been tried and tested in the classroom and I can tell you they are a hit ! make the story correct

****Some stories include nonsense words
