It’s February and that means it’s time for a resource round-up. What fun activities are you using in February? Get out all your monthly themed activities and switch it up a bit. I’m going to start with my favorite activity for this time.

Nothing says fun like the February themed Cut and Paste Interactive Monthly Readers.

I had no idea how fun and popular these readers would be in my class when I first created them . Adding themed readers was just a bonus. Interactive readers were one of the first resources I created and they have stood the test of time in engaging students. Time and time again, these have proven to be fun and effective resources to use.

Now there are sets for each month, season and skill that you are teaching. You can purchase the year long monthly interactive bundle by clicking the link.

Next are the BLACK HISTORY MONTH poster sets.

This little set is so fun and easy to print and use. I am amazed at the beautiful pictures I’ve been sent showing them posted in classrooms and hallways. Many teachers have commented on how great they look in their hallways and libraries.

If you have a picture of these posters in action that you would like to share, please feel free to do so by emailing me at: kadeenteaches@gmail.com. I would love to see them. There are two different sets and styles, but this one seems to be the more popular set. Each poster has a picture and writing that goes along with it. These posters are conversation starters. They are not comprehensive, so it’s up to teachers to continue the conversations in the classrooms. You can check them out by clicking on the pictures.

Next are the February morning work sets for kindergarten and first grade.

Who doesn’t like to have mornings for the entire month already planned out? Both include math and reading for the day. Print, compile into a book. Have students color their cover and keep their morning work folder ready in the morning for each day.

The kindergarten morning work for each month also includes a skills checklist to check off the activities they have completed for the month.

Finally, we have the February Text Evidence Readers.

These are always a blast. Students read the engaging informational passages as well as stories and color-code the evidence from the text. It’s absolutely amazing to see the reading growth while using these readers.

You can check out the year long bundle of text evidence readers here or by clicking on any of the pictures.
